Examples of BCN System trades
The charts below represent equity lines for the BCN system across eight different markets over the past six and a half years. The input values for each market are exactly the same so I have termed this the "Generic" version which is used to highlight the robustness of the system by comparing performance across various traded markets. As each market has its own unique characteristics, I would recommend trading the BCN system with more optimal input values.
The unit sizes for each market have been standardized to reflect maximum monthly risk of $10,000 on the basis of a 2.5% value at risk measurement which shows the worst case scenario under "normal" circumstances per market traded. Obviously, smaller unit sizes can be traded to produce smaller monthly VAR numbers in line with the risk profile of the trader/trading mandate.
As each market has its own distribution of winning and losing months the amounts that are lost on one market tend to be far outweighed by the winning months on the other markets, thereby producing a smooth combined equity curve when trading a combination of markets as a trading systems portfolio.
